About us
The Pesticides Control Board was established by the Pesticides (Amendment) Act, 2018 to control and manage the importation, exportation, manufacture, distribution, storage, use, and disposal of pesticides in Malawi. As a state-owned professional provider of pesticide management and related services in Malawi, PCB was initially operating as a department in the MoA. As a regulator of pesticides in the country, PCB is also a co-Designated National Authority (DNA) of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm convetion.
OUR MISSION
To regulate pesticides life cycle through registration, issuance of permits, licences and enforcement in order to protect human and animal life and the environment.
