The Board

The board is governed by a Board of Directors who are appointed by the President as per the Pesticides Act 2000 amended in 2018. Their key responsibilities include the provision of direction for the board, recruitment and supervision of staff, and the establishment of a policy governance system.

The Technical Committee

PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS

Provision of the technical direction to the PCB secretariate and the Board on matters related to pesticides, reviewing of technical performance of all technical departments on a quarterly and annual basis and compilation of reports for presentation to the Board, reviewing from time to time technical guidelines for pesticides management to ensure that issues of global and local concerns are taken on board

The Finance and Audit Committee

PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS

The Finance and Audit Committee is responsible to the Board of Directors for all financial matters including, the review and examination of all financial objectives, policies, and programs, review and recommend to the Board for approval of Performance Management, Plans and Budgets and review and provide overall financial oversight for all financial matters of the Board.

The Human Resources and Administration Committee

PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS

The committee is responsible for human resources and corporate affairs. Its key functions include: the recruitment of staff for the Pesticides Control Board, the review of staff remuneration, settling disciplinary issues, and procurement of goods and services, fleet management and General administrative issues
